Small Steps, Giant Leaps:
The CCM Impact Dashboard
Welcome to the heartbeat of our mission. Every day at the Cheyenne Children’s Museum, we set out to build with our community rather than just for it. We are on a mission to cultivate curiosity through hands-on experiences, meaningful relationships, and community collaboration —bridging gaps for explorers of all ages so they can discover their unique strengths and believe in their potential.
Our vision is a Cheyenne where every child has an equal opportunity to investigate, experiment, and thrive. The stories and milestones below are a direct reflection of what happens when a passionate community stands behind its youth to champion an inclusive, exploratory, and joyful future. Together, we aren’t just creating programs; we are shaping a brighter tomorrow.
Fuel the Next Generation
Do either of these programs inspire you? By making a gift today, you aren't just donating to a museum; you are directly subsidizing a student's journey into tech, art, and space exploration.
Expanding Our Reach: Beyond the Exhibit Hall
Did you know our main exhibit hall is tailored for children ages 0 to 9? While we love our youngest builders and dreamers, we believe every young person deserves a space to learn, create, and thrive.
By launching intentional, advanced programming, we are bridging the gap for middle and high school students. With your support, we can expand this vital impact even further.
Here is a glimpse of what we are building together:
🚀 Our New Impact Programs
-
Digital Art & Graphic Design (Middle & High School)
An immersive course that teaches professional graphic design skills, opening doors to future creative careers.
-
CubeSat Satellite Program (Middle School)
In partnership with EdgeFlyte, students get hands-on training to solder, build, and program their very own mini-satellites!
Bridging the Gap: The Real Cost of Accessibility
Innovation isn't cheap, but we believe inspiration should be accessible.
To spark a lifelong passion for STEM and the arts, we are committed to keeping these programs affordable for local families—regardless of their financial situation. But launching high-caliber pilots requires significant resources, and the true cost of these experiences is far higher than what a family pays at registration.
Take our 7-week Graphic Design program. The hard costs to run this course—software, equipment, and instruction—come out to $650 per student. To ensure any interested teen can join, we are charging families just $250 for our first pilot. That leaves a $400 gap per student that we need to cover.
The stakes are even higher for our 4-week Middle School CubeSat program. Providing cutting-edge aerospace tools and engineering mentorship costs $1,995 per student. We refuse to let a price tag standard-out future rocket scientists, so we hope to charge families less than $100. That means we are stepping out on faith to cover a massive $1,895 funding gap for every single child who participates.
This is just scratching the surface of what is possible when an incredible community stands behind its youth. We cover the cost upfront because we believe in these kids—but we need your help to keep going.

To make supporting our operational needs simpler and more seamless, we have launched a brand-new pathway for giving. If you prefer to avoid the hassle of standard processing fees and credit card "round-up" checkouts, you can now set up secure, automatic account debits via ACH (direct bank transfer). This powerful mechanism gives you total flexibility to establish any donation amount on the schedule that works best for you—whether that is $5 once a month or $500 once a week—providing the reliable, predictable funding that fuels our ongoing growth without another thought.
