Reach for the Stars: CubeSat Immersive Training Program
Bring space technology down to Earth! Presented by EdgeFlyte for the Cheyenne Children’s Museum, this after-school STEM enrichment initiative offers students an unprecedented opportunity to design, build, and command real, standardized miniature spacecraft—the exact technology used by NASA and aerospace industry leaders.
Unlike digital simulations, every participant receives their own personal EdgeFlyte CS1 1U CubeSat kit for hands-on assembly, experimentation, and ultimate take-home ownership.
High School Track: CubeSat Classic Education

Grades 9–12 | Limited to 10 students per cohort

Designed for students ready to dive into serious technical depth and professional engineering practices.

Students master advanced electronics and real-time space operations through project-based learning aligned with Wyoming Content and Performance Standards (WYCPS).
What Students Will Do:

Build Hardware: Assemble the structural frame and master safe electronics soldering.

Code & Command: Program firmware and run mission operations using professional GTerm ground station software for telemetry, command, and control.

Earn Industry Certifications: Graduate with three formal credentials for resumes and college applications:

Build a Portfolio: Create technical logs and analyzed mission reports to prove real-world skills to prospective colleges and employers.
